주 연구분야는 현대영미소설, 모더니즘, 서사 윤리, 영화 및 미디어 비평이다. 박사학위 논문에서는 타자철학과 모더니즘의 형식실험을 연결하여, 20세기 모더니즘 소설이 타자의 알 수 없음과 재현의 한계를 드러내는 방식을 분석하고 불가능의 서사가 지니는 윤리적 의미를 고찰하였다. 최근에는 포스트휴머니즘과 정동 연구로 영역을 확장하고 있다. 주요 논문으로는 Performing and Defamiliarizing Arousal in Matsumoto Toshio’s Funeral Parade of Roses(영미문학페미니즘 30.3, 2022), “He will be a Pet Forever”: Rewriting a Boy-and-Dog Story as an Anti-Bildungsroman in John Donovan’s I’ll Get There.
